Painting Nature Journals

Painting Nature Journals

Children in grades 4-6 are invited to discover and express their own point of view by using different media to paint what they observe and feel as we explore and consider our own library backyard. Children will receive a journal to write text and sketch, use collage, pastels, and paint to help find their voice.

Dress for mess – please wear easy-to-clean clothes! Students may take home their journals at the end of the Summer Reading Program. Water will be provided. Register by calling the Children’s Room at 781-631-1481.

This program is supported by donations to our craft supplies by the public, the Children’s Librarian and the Oliver P. Killam, Jr. Fund.
