Intro to Marblehead Town Government: Health Department with Andrew Petty

The League of Women Voters of Marblehead, in partnership with Abbot Public Library, invites the public to join us to hear from our Director of Public Health, Andrew Petty, on Monday Sept. at 6:30 p.m. at Abbot Public Library located at the Eveleth School on Brook Road. He will discuss the Landfill Closure and Transfer Station projects with special attention to the planning, regulatory compliance and coordination with other departments and agencies. An overview of the Health Department responsibilities will also be presented. Questions and discussion will follow.
The first speaker for fall 2023 is Andrew Petty, Director of Public Health. Andrew Petty has been the Director of Public Health for the Town of Marblehead since 2011. He is in charge of the Health Department as well as Trash and Recycling for the Town, which includes running the Transfer Station. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in Environmental Science and is a Registered Sanitarian in the State of Massachusetts.
