CHILDREN’S SUMMER READING 2021
Abbot Public Library Children’s Summer Reading Program
Friday, June 21st – Friday, August 13th
Come read this summer and win prizes! Read or listen to 15 books and earn a prize. There is no limit on how many books you can read over the course of the summer. Children are invited to come to the library and pick up a reading log and record titles they have read. They turn them in and choose a prize (books, gift certificates, memo pads, stickers, coloring books, museum vouchers, etc.) each time it is complete.
At the close of summer, we will hold a raffle for a grand prize of a bookstore gift card for the highest readers in each of three age categories. The Ice Cream Giveaway is on the last day – Friday, August 13th – to turn in all reading logs. The following Monday raffle winners will be called.
Be on the alert for the docents with the Driftwood Garden Club and their monarch butterfly garden outside at the library as well this summer.
Marblehead Public Schools Summer Recommended and Required Reading
We have many copies available for titles on the Marblehead Elementary school recommended and required reading lists for summer. Plenty of copies for both lower and upper elementary grades. Come and borrow and read or listen to school-assigned reading during the long days of summer and get ahead of the fall assignments.
