Designing a Shady Retreat, Presented by Joan Butler & Jana Milbocker of Enchanted Gardens
January 20 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
PLEASE NOTE: this program has been moved online. Please register for the Zoom information here.
In this richly illustrated lecture, Butler and Milbocker explore a variety of intriguing gardens that should inspire us to create our own shady retreats! They will show us design tricks and strategies to light up shady corners, highlight unusual plants that thrive in low-light conditions, and illustrate the creative use of art objects, seating, and water features.
Jana Milbocker is the principal of Enchanted Gardens. She published The Garden Tourist: 120 Destination Gardens and Nurseries in the Northeast in 2018 (which you can reserve online); and her second book, The Garden Tourist’s New England, in 2019.
