Children’s Summer Reading Kickoff Day

June 11 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

11:00 am in the Meeting Room: Author (Alec Carvlin) Author Reading, Presentation, and Craft on his book, How to Bake a Universe

Calling all cosmic chefs! Alec Carvlin will be reading his debut picture book, How to Bake a Universe, at the Abbot Public Library. There will be simple crafts for all ages featuring a shark, octopus, and sailing boat paper craft. Caregivers should remain in the room for children under seven.

2:00 pm in the Children’s Room: Scavenger Game

Find certain books on our shelves related to ocean stories and ocean facts, plus decorative items in the room. Check off the scavenger hunt form and receive a family voucher for free admission to the U.S.S. Constitution in Boston!

Register for the Children’s Summer Reading program, find out the rules and take home information and a free packet of items to color.
