Norton Young Readers is publishing Alec Carvlin’s debut picture book, How to Bake a Universe, illustrated by Brian Biggs. Children in grades K-4 are invited to this author talk about his cosmic “cookbook.” The book takes a kid-chef on a journey from a baking tray of nothing to a crisp (not burned!) universe, showcasing a basic scientific understanding of how a universe comes into being through humor and adventure.
