Volunteer

Abbot Public Library seeks volunteers to fill the following positions:  

Youth Volunteers (ages 15-18) 

Tech Assistant 

Use your skills to help adults adapt to new technology, solve minor computer and phone issues or assist them with online platforms. Must be 15 – 18 years old to apply. 

Teen Program Assistant

Become an integral part of the Teen Room! Help with prep for crafty programs, give input on themes for book discussions and library clubs, and act as library ambassador with peers at school, in the library, and beyond. Must be 15 – 18 years old to apply.

Children’s Program Assistant

Put your imagination to work in the Children’s Room! Spend time in a creative learning environment and help facilitate art activities, enrichment programs, and special events for kids and families. Must be 15 – 18 years old to apply. 

Applications for Youth Volunteers will be accepted from Tuesday, November 15 to December 15. To apply, please fill out this form

 

Youth Volunteers (ages 13 or 14)

Children’s Program Junior Assistant

Put your imagination to work in the Children’s Room! Spend time in a creative learning environment and help facilitate art activities, enrichment programs, and special events for kids and families. Must be 13 or 14 years old to apply. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. For more information, please visit the Children’s Room.    

Adult Volunteers (ages 18+) 

Applications for Adult Volunteers (18+) will be accepted starting Tuesday, December 13, 2022.
