We value and welcome seniors and provide a number of special services with you in mind:

Large Type. We have acquired a growing collection of large print books and periodicals as well as books-on-tape or CD’s for those who have a reduced ability to see.

Tax Help. From February through April 15 each year, the Library hosts tax preparers from the A.A.R.P. who assist seniors in preparing their tax returns for free. This tax help is available at the Library on a first-come, first-served basis on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. during the tax season.

Computer Classes. We offer two computer classes in which seniors are the predominant students. For information about these classes.

Connecting. Our Connecting program for the homebound is used largely by seniors. The program matches a volunteer with a homebound person in need of Library materials. The volunteer delivers the materials directly to that person and often spends time visiting with them as well. Persons interested in being a recipient or a volunteer for the Connecting program should call the Library for an application at 781-631-1481, ext. 214, or request an application by emailing . Please specify whether you would like to be a recipient or a volunteer. Send email to Ann Connolly

Book Group. The Senior Book Discussion Group meets at the Library every third Tuesday of the month at 10 am in the Marblehead Room or the Secret Garden. New members are always welcome.
